उत्तर: कोई भी भाषा आपसी व्यवहार में बाधा नहीं बनती- यह पाठ के उस अंश से सिद्घ होता है जहां लेखक बताते हैं कि बचपन के समय में उनके अधिकतम मित्र हरियाणा या राजस्थान से थे, उन सबकी भाषा एक दूसरे से काफी भिन्न थी, इसके बावजूद जब वह सब खेलते थे उन्हे एक दूसरे की बात सही से समझ आती थी मानो उनकी भाषा हमेशा से एक ही रही हो। 

2. पीटी सहब की ‘शाबाश’ फौज के तमगो-सी क्यों लगती थी? स्पष्ट किजिए।

ऊत्तर: पीटी साहब का नाम प्रीतम चंद था और वह फौज की तरह ही बहूत अनुशासित थे ।  गुस्सैल स्वभाव होने के कारण वह बच्चों को छोटी सी गलती पर भी कठोर सजा देते थे ।  इसी कारण जब वह शाबाशी देते थे तो बच्चों को फौज के तमगो सी लगती थी । 

3. नई श्रेणी मे जाने और नई कापियों और पुरानी किताबों से आती विशेष गध से लेखक का बालमन क्यों उदास हो उठता था?

उत्तर: लेखक के परिवार की अर्थिक स्तिथि ठीक नहीं थी इसलिए वह नई कापियों और किताबों की जगह हेडमास्टर द्बारा प्रबंध की गयी पुरानी किताबें ही लेते थे। बच्चे होने के कारण उनका भी मन अन्य बच्चों की तरह नई पुस्तकें लेने का करता था परंतु ना मिलने के कारण उनका मन उदास हो जाता था।

4. स्काउट परेड करते समय लेखक अपने को महत्वपूर्ण आदमी फौजी जवान क्यों समझने लगते थे? 

उत्तर: स्काउट परेड के दौरान लेखक धुले हुए साफ़ कपड़े व पॉलिश किए हुए बूट पहनते थे तथा पीटी मास्टर के आदेश पर एक फौजी की तरह ही  दायें या बाएं टर्न करते थे जिससे उन्हें एक फौजी जैसा ही मेहसूस होता था। इन्हीं कारणों की वजह से लेखक अपने आप को एक फौजी जवान समझने लगते थे। 

5. हेडमास्टर शर्मा जी ने पीटी सहाब को क्यों मुअत्तल कर दिया? 

उत्तर: हेडमास्टर शर्मा जी काफी नर्म दिल के थे। एक दिन मास्टर प्रीतम चंद ने बच्चों को बहुत क्रूर सज़ा दी हुई थी जिसके कारण बच्चों की हालत खराब हो गयी थी जिसे देख कर शर्माजी बहुत गुस्सा हो गए और उन्होंने पीटी सहाब को मुअत्तल कर दिया था।

6. लेखक के अनुसार उन्हें स्कूल खुशी से भागे जाने की जगह न लगने पर भी कब और क्यों उन्हें स्कूल अच्छा लगने लगा? 

उत्तर: लेखक को स्काउट परेड के समय स्कूल में जाना अच्छा लगता था क्योंकि परेड में उन्हें रंग बिरंगे झंडे लेकर तथा गले में रुमाल बांधकर चलना होता था और जब मास्टर जी उन्हें शाबाशी देते थे तो लेखक का मन अति प्रसन्न हो जाता था।

7. लेखक अपने छात्र जीवन में स्कूल से छुट्टियों में मिले काम को पूरा करने के लिए क्या क्या योजनायें बनाया करते था और उसे पूरा न कर पाने की स्थिति में किसकी भांति 'बहादुर' बनने की कल्पना किया करते थे? 

उत्तर:  लेखक अपना काम पूरा करने के लिए एक समय सारिणी बनाते थे जिससे वह तय करते थे कि किस दिन कौनसा काम कितना करना है, जो परंतु जब वह उसे पूरा नहीं कर पाते थे उस स्तिथि में वह ओमा नामक ठिगने और बहादुर लड़के जैसा बनने का सोचते थे। 

8. पाठ में वर्णित घटनाओं के आधार पर पीटी सर की चारित्रिक विशेषताओं पर प्रकाश डालिए। 

उत्तर: पीटी सर की निम्नलिखित विशेषताएं हैं - 

1. पीटी सर पतले व छोटे कद के थे। 

2. वह खाकी वर्दी और लंबे जूते पहनते थे। 

3. वह बहुत अनुशासन प्रिय थे। 

4. वह बच्चों को क्रूर दंड दिया करते थे। 

5. उनका स्वभाव नम्र नहीं था।

6. वे एक स्वाभिमानी व्यक्ती थे। 

7. वे नारियल की तरह बाहर से कठोर परंतु अंदर से कोमल थे। 

9. विद्यार्थियों को अनुशासन में रखने के लिए पाठ में अपनाई गई गयी युक्तियों और वर्तमान में स्वीकृत मान्यताओं के संबंध में अपने विचार प्रकट कीजिए। 

उत्तर:  विद्यार्थियों को अनुशासन में रखने के लिए पाठ में दिखाया गया है कि उन्हें कठोर सज़ा दी जाती थी यहां तक कि उन्हें शारीरिक दंड भी दिया जाता था जिससे उन्हें शारीरिक और मानसिक मानसिक दोनों तरह परेशानी झेलनी पड़ती थी। आज कल इस तरह विद्यार्थियों को मरना पीटना बिल्कुल भी उचित नहीं समझा जाता तथा बच्चों की मानसिकता को समझने की कोशिश की जाती है और उन्हें स्नेह से हर चीज समझाई और पढ़ाई जाती है। 

10.  प्रायः अभिभावक बच्चों को खेल कूद में ज़्यादा रुचि लेने पर रोकते हैं और समय बरबाद न करने की नसीहत देते हैं। बताइए-

1. खेल आपके लिए क्यों ज़रूरी है? 

2. आप कौन से ऐसे नियम कायदों को अपनाएँगे जिससे अभिभावकों को आपके खेल पर आपत्ति न हो? 

उत्तर:

1. खेल न केवल बच्चों के लिए परंतु हर वर्ग के लिए आवश्यक है। इससे हमारा शरीर तंदरुस्त रहता है, फुर्ती बनी रहती है जिससे हमने बीमारियां भी कम होती हैं। खेल से हमें मानसिक शांति भी मिलती है। 

2. अभिभावकों को आपत्ति न हो इसलिए मैं अपनी पढ़ाई और काम करके ही खेलने जाऊँगा तथा जितना जोश और मैं खेल में लगाऊंगा उतना ही पढ़ाई में भी ज़रूर लगाऊंगा।

Class 10 Hindi Sanchayan Chapter 2, 'Sapno ke se din,' is written by Gurdial Singh. It is a short story in which the author narrates his life as a young boy and the memories he has lived through. He starts with something relatable for all of us, i.e., instances of him playing in the dirt and getting himself hurt. As he ironically mentions in the first paragraph itself, when he used to return home with his bleeding knees and bruises all over his body, his sister and mother gave him some more punishment.

He mentions that most of the families migrated from Rajasthan or Haryana to set up their business in small mandis. He adds that he was not able to understand what they used to say.

The author felt the excitement when he would enter a new class every year, and the smell of new books, pen, and copies would remind him of the fear of the strict teachers of his previous classes. In the summer vacations, the author visited his grandmother's home, where he used to get a lot of affection. As the holidays would pass day by day, the tasks given by various teachers as holiday homework would haunt the author, the fear of going to the school again and facing the wrath of the teachers gave the author chills.
