Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA)
The Board of Education in the Assam state is popularly known as Secondary Education Board of Assam – SEBA is mainly established to regulate, supervise and develop Secondary Education in the State of Assam. This board of Secondary Education is responsible for conducting class 10 board exam for all the affiliated state board schools.
SEBA is the main authority which is responsible for prescribing the revised syllabus for all the classes and to provide assurance for the quality of education conveyed in all affiliated schools in the state of Assam. This secondary education board of Assam was established in the year 1962 with the aim to promote quality education to the learners. There are many governments and private schools affiliated with this board across the state.
SEBA Board Syllabus
The Secondary Education Board of Assam has carved out the syllabus in a very detailed manner. It covers a vast number of topics and maintains a healthy environment so that students are able to develop their talents and abilities in a right way. The syllabus is well-prepared in all respects by the subject experts based on educational requirements. The core subjects for the higher class includes – Hindi, Assamese- English, General Science, General Mathematics, Social Science other elective subjects. Along with these main subjects, the board also provide few optional subjects to improve student’s welfare.

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)
Assam Higher Secondary Education Council -AHSEC is responsible for conducting exams, prescribing syllabus, question papers and other study materials for both Class 11 and 12. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council was established by the Assam government on 1 June 1984 to regulate, supervise and develop the system of higher secondary education in the State of Assam.
AHSEC Board Syllabus
Syllabus plays a major role in preparing students for their examinations and also ensures that students gain the required knowledge to explore new and diverse future career avenues. Based on AHSEC board syllabus, the state board of education selects textbooks, prepare question papers, sample papers and other study materials. As per the requirement and under the Government guidelines, the board revises the syllabus often to ensure the uniformity of the education.
