1. Give the Geometric Representation of \[y=3\] as an Equation

(i) in one variable

Ans. We are given the equation \[y=3\] .

To represent it as an equation in one variable, we simply graph the point on a number line.

In one variable, \[y=3\] represents a point, which can be plotted on a number line as follows:

(ii) in two variables

Ans. We are given the equation \[y=3\] .

In two variables, \[y=3\] represents a straight line passing through point \[(0,3)\] and parallel to \[x\] -axis. It is a collection of all the points of the plane, having their \[y\] coordinate as \[3\] units.

It can be represented as a line with the equation \[0.x+y=3\] and graphed as follows:

2. Give the Geometric Representations of \[2x+9=0\] as an Equation 

(i) in one variable 

Ans. We are given the equation \[2x+9=0\] , which can be written as:

\[2x=-9\]

\[x=-\frac{9}{2}\]

To represent it as an equation in one variable, we simply graph the point on a number line.

In one variable, \[x=-\frac{9}{2}\] represents a point, which can be plotted on a number line as follows:

(ii) in two variables 

Ans. We are given the equation \[2x+9=0\] .

In two variables, \[2x+9=0\] represents a straight line passing through point \[(-\frac{9}{2},0)\] and parallel to \[y\] -axis. It is a collection of all the points of the plane, having their \[x\] coordinate as \[-\frac{9}{2}\] units.
