What Is The Difference Between NATA And JEE Paper 2?

IIT JEE and NATA are two competitive exams held for students who are looking to pursue a career in engineering and architecture. However, these are two totally different exams that are conducted for admissions into different institutes.

Highlights of JEE And NATA Exams

JEE Mains exam is now conducted two times a year. A candidate can give the JEE Mains for three consecutive years, two times each year. So a candidate will be allowed to appear six times in JEE Mains.

JEE Mains Paper-2 is conducted for getting admission in courses such as B.Arch and B. Planning in various NITs (National Institute of Technology) and GFTIs (Government funded Technical Institutes), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institute). For JEE Mains, the eligibility criteria are either 12th standard passed with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics or diploma students who have completed their degree can appear for JEE Mains.

NTA will be conducting JEE Mains twice a year, first round will be held in January 8 to 12, 2019 in two shifts including day-forenoon session (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon session (2:30 am to 5:30 pm) and second round will be conducted in April from April 6 to 20 in a total of eight sessions. The last date to fill the application form for April is February 8 to March 7, 2019.

NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is conducted to get admissions in B. Arch. Course in various Architectural Institution throughout India. The brochure for NATA-2019 has recently (January 21) been made available by the Council of Architecture (COA). Diploma candidates are not eligible to appear for NATA-2019. Eligibility criteria for NATA -2019 is 12th pass in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. COA will be conducting NATA two times this year, the first exam will be on April 14, 2019, and the second exam will be on July 7, 2019.
